Ski Club News Jan’24

Keystone (NAASF SKI WEEK #1 Jan21-26)
We’re just days away from our season opener.  And with about 40 of us currently registered to attend, I’m predicting an awesome time at Keystone Resort. Here’s the (nearly) complete Ski Week itinerary.

Team Dinner Night
18:00 Red Mountain Grill The restaurant has asked us to start our Team Dinner at 6:00pm as we plan to have at least 30 in our group for dinner. They are located in Dillon, just a 10 minute drive from the resort. We’ll have to carpool to/from the restaurant. And, from the calls I’ve made, we will have enough vehicles to cover our group. We’ll be proactive and plan a meeting spot for anyone needing a ride. Let’s say that anyone needing a ride should be at the Keystone Lodge and Spa at 5:30pm. So, anyone with any spare car seats can just make a quick stop, fill your empty seats and head to the restaurant. That should work…right?

Lenzerheide, Switzerland (World Airlines Ski Championships Mar 10-15)
So…we wait. We’re just going to have to wait for the L’heide LOC to figure out how they’re going to fulfill the lodging request. Please be aware that Lenzerheide has assured the IASF that they have lodging capacity for 600 persons. In fact, that was one of the prerequisites for a resort to submit a bid. They have hosted a WASC previously. I have no reason to believe that they cannot complete their mission. I encourage you to be patient, and to keep planning to attend. It’s going to happen. And, it’s going to be an amazing event.
We’ll be going forward with our plans. I already have some volunteers to coordinate our hospitality table during the Fun Race. We’re looking for a Team Dinner venue. And, we have some ideas for a group costume for the “Crazy Circus” theme party. We’ll finalize these items in the coming weeks.
Telluride (NAASF Ski Week #3 Mar31-Apr5)
The final stop in our Colorado hat trick. There’s lodging info on our website. I’ll post more info as soon as I get it.
Club Gear
I haven’t forgotten about this. I’ve just been avoiding it. But, we do have a plan to simplify our Club jackets, This email is already too long. I can see that you’re losing interest. I’ll regroup and post in a new email.
Thanks for reading. I’ll see you very soon!
