December Update

Keystone, Colorado January 21-26
The kickoff to our 2024 Ski Season begins in just over 1 month. We’re going to have a big group attending this event. Don’t miss out on the fun. Lift tickets are available for the way low price of just $60 per day. But, you will need to be registered with NAASF to get this price. Please go to https://www.naasf.com/  to login or create your account to get registered and pay the fee. There are two levels of registration this year…”racer” $170 and “non-racer” $115. Pretty much self explanatory there. Any non-racers can still compete in the new-comers race. It’s a perfect chance to test your nerve and skill at competing. And, it’s fun!
We’re still working on our Team Dinner location for this week. Stay tuned for that info. I’ll send it out as soon as we have something confirmed.
Highlights for our first NAASF meet includes:
❄️ New this year!! Racer & Non-Racer registration prices.
❄️ $60 daily lift tickets.
❄️  Easy 1.5 hour drive from Denver.
❄️ Discounted Shuttle Service from Denver & Eagle airports.
❄️ 3 Lodging discount options available.
❄️ 25% discount on equipment rentals.
❄️ Welcome Party Monday night.
🏂  Asian appetizers.  Cash bar.
❄️ Rockin’ in the Rockies theme party Wednesday night.
⛷️ Come dressed as your favorite Rock Star.
🏂  Air guitar contest.
⛷️ Denver’s’ Honey Badger classic rock band performing.
🏂  Tacos & Nachos, + more.   Cash bar.
You can find more info for this event on our website. https://swaski.club/

Steamboat, Colorado February 4-9
Registration isn’t open yet. But, there’s some new info to share.
Discounted lodging at a respectable 30% off is available at the Steamboat Grand! You’ll need to book asap if you want this deal. Please go to, https://group.steamboatgrand.com/packages/package/75221/?code=RNBS24
Sticker shock…I know. Don’t worry. There will be more lodging options available in the near future. I describe the Steamboat base as an “ocean of condos”. There’s almost always something available at a more “normal” price point.
One other bit of news for the second NAASF Ski Week is the theme party on Wednesday night. “Animated Characters”  Come dressed as your favorite Disney movie, Pixar, TV show, foreign characters too! Looking forward to seeing all different characters come to life.

Lenzerheide, Switzerland March 10-15
The Lenzerheide organizing committee caused a big uproar earlier this week with a mid-stream change to the procedures for booking our lodging. We’re still on hold for a resolution to this ordeal. I do think that it will be worked out with a compromise that each Team can live with. You can and should still register to attend. That process hasn’t changed. We currently have 22 people registered to attend. I’m sure that that number will go up. I’m expecting 50 to 60 Southwest Warriors making their way to the Swiss Alps. Total attendance of all Airlines should be over 500! Once all of these hiccups have been worked out, we’ll be glad we made the trek to Lenzerheide. It is the “do not miss event” of the season. So, don’t miss it! duh!
Just as with all of our events this season, you can find more info on our website.

Telluride, Colorado March 31-April 5
Registration is open. And, there’s several lodging options available. This is the same info I’ve shared with you in previous emails.
Please register on https://www.naasf.com/ for any Ski Weeks you plan to attend. It’s really important info for the event organizers.
We need to get some Southwest Ski Club apparel started in time for Lenzerheide. I’ll share that info with you in my next email. Just give me a couple of days. I you haven’t heard from me by then, someone please remind me. I might see a squirrel and forget all about it.
We have new members being added daily. If you’re new and find yourself lost in all of this information, please feel free to reply to this email with any questions. We’re here to help you.
That’s all for today. Thanks for reading. I’ll see you next month!
