Hello again everyone. We finally have some guidance for going forward with lodging reservations for the 63rd WASC in Lenzerheide, Switzerland.
To give you some insight, on Dec. 11 we received this message from the LOC in Lenzerheide…
“After having received many requests by Team Captains regarding a process that would allow them to have their entire team in ONE place only and not distributed over several accommodations the workload increased rapidly and it was not manageable for LOC anymore. Therefore the centralized request is with immediate effect the only way how to fulfill those requests. However, in order to keep the payment convenient to the participants, we will maintain the individual payment options. Please accept our apologies, we will guarantee to keep on working hard to make the 63rd WASC a mesmerizing and memorable event for all of us!’
You should know that we never made such a request. I was more than delighted to be completely “hands off” in any of the lodging procedures. And, it appears that my first assumption that a group of smaller teams created this ordeal, may have been in error. But, that’s all past tense now. We are now compelled to regroup and go forward again with a new procedure to book lodging in Lenzerheide.

If you’ve already registered, you do not need to do this again. The link has changed slightly in that the lodging choices has been removed. The new procedure will be as follows…

In this email, please list your lodging preferences, roommates and any other requests related to lodging. I’m strongly encouraging you to list more than one option for lodging. And, be prepared to perhaps not receive you top listing. Please be aware that the Hotel Schweizerhof is only available from 10 March 2024, as the hotel is fully booked before then. In addition, the number of beds at the Schweizerhof is very limited (first come first serve).
Many of you have already contacted me with your lodging preferences via texts, messages, etc. I’m asking you to resend these requests to the email address we’ve created.
2- We will then send these requests to the Lenzerheide LOC, who will confirm availability. Once confirmed, the LOC will contact you for final payment.
We are prepared to send your original lodging request to the LZH LOC. If you want to make any changes, please submit them to our new email address.
I’m going to send everyone that has already submitted a registration a separate email with a excel spreadsheet attached that will show what we have from you currently. If there are no changes needed to your request, we’ll submit that.
It’s a bit of a mess right now. Certainly not the Swiss watch precision I was expecting. But, we’ll get this sorted out.
