Preseason Update

We’re less than 3 months from our first NAASF Ski Week of the 2024 ski season in Keystone, Colorado January 21-26, 2024 . Just 85 days from today! Before that ski week is the preseason training camp in Steamboat Springs. I have discounted lodging and lift ticket info to share with you. Plus an update on the rest of our 2024 ski season.
Preseason training camp:
Our friends at the American Airlines Ski Club have an open invitation to our club to join them at their preseason training camp at Steamboat Springs, Colorado December 3 through 8.
This is an excellent opportunity to get some one on one, or small group lessons from top notch instructors. The event also offers steep discounts on lodging at the Steamboat Grand, as well as discounts on rental gear, retail sales, shuttles and lift tickets.
You can book your lodging at the Steamboat Grand now. You don’t have to book time with an instructor to attend. You can just go to get in some early season skiing and riding. But, you do have to register, which is done through the AA Ski Club website to receive the group discounts. The link to register for the ski week is not yet active. It should be soon. You can find out more info by clicking here on the AA Club webpage.NAASF Ski Week #1; Keystone, CO. January 21-26 2024
A new addition to our NAASF Ski Weeks is non-racer registration. These Ski Weeks have a cost attached to them. From the social event venues, to the racing department to everything in between. It should come as no surprise that money is needed to plan and execute these events.
For a long time, a lot of people have been asking for, and the NAASF BOD, along with the member Airlines of NAASF have voted in a two tiered registration fee. Racer registration is $170, non-racer registration is $115. First time attendees and the beginner level attendees may compete in the “Newcomers race” as a non-racer registrant.
This is still a great deal. Both registration fees gets you admission to the Monday night Welcome Party, the Wednesday night Theme Party. Plus, both racer and non-racer registrants will have access to daily lift tickets at the crazy low price of only $60 per day. This isn’t a typo….$60 daily lift tickets at a Vail resort. The online advanced purchase price for 4 days at Keystone is currently $628. I’m no math surgeon. But I just calculated that your registration fee allows you to save nearly $400 on a 4 day lift ticket package. Plus it gets you into a couple of parties that you’re sure to enjoy as well as access to other on-mountain and in-village discounts and activities.
There’s a page of info on the NAASF Website. You’ll find links to lodging options with our discount codes already applied. You’ll also find information on rental and shuttle discounts. And, the all important ski week registration links. If you land on a “welcome to your dashboard” page when login to your NAASF account, just click on the NAASF “goggles” logo in the top left corner. You’ll redirect to what we’re used to seeing.

Moving on….

Additionally, the Ski Week registration appears to be open. However, I encountered some errors when I tried to register. Let’s give the NAASF webpage admin a chance to correct the bugs. We’ll come back to that later.I’m very excited to get this season started. The “Colorado trifecta” of domestic Ski Weeks along with an International Ski Week in the Swiss Alps is sure to be one for the record books.
